But first…

If you’re looking for a step-by-step guide on the actual booking process (with screenshots!), check out my Lightning Lane Multi Pass guide on my blog. The actual booking process is very straightforward and easy to navigate. But I wanted to use these deep dives to talk all about strategy. That way, you get the most out of your purchase!

Quick Refresher

As you’re reading through this guide, remember:

For Lightning Lane Multi Pass –

You’ll book 3 Lightning Lane pre-selections (one Tier 1 attraction + two Tier 2 attractions -or- three Tier 2 attractions) when purchasing the service. Then, you’ll book more throughout your park day – every time you scan into a Lightning Lane, you’ll be able to book another one (pending availability).

If you have a park hopper, all pre-selections must be at one park. After scanning into your first Lightning Lane of the day, you’ll be able to book any available Lightning Lane at any other park.

For Lightning Lane Single Pass –

You’ll be able to book up to 2 Lightning Lane Single Passes per person per park day (but those 2 cannot be for the same ride). If you have a park hopper, those two Single Passes do not need to be at the same park.

Your Lightning Lane Booking Window –

  • On-site guests: book 7 days before check-in at 7:00 AM Eastern.

  • Off-site guests: book 3 days before the start date of your ticket at 7:00 AM Eastern.

Now, let’s talk strategy…

There are some key things I think about when deciding which attractions to book when using Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass.

Here are the 5 things I consider:
